Boys Town Specialized Treatment Group Homes
Our Specialized Treatment Group homes provide structured, 24-hour care and treatment in a group home setting for youth ages 10 to 18 with severe behavioral and mental health disorders. These youth do not pose an immediate threat to themselves or others and can participate in family-style activities like preparing meals, doing chores and going on outings. Professionally trained caregivers and therapists develop individualized Treatment Plans to meet the needs of each youth and provide necessary therapy. Referrals come from residential treatment programs, the juvenile justice system, mental health professionals and families.
Common problems for children admitted to our program include:
- History of school failures
- Problems with authority figures
- Aggression
- Self-injury
- Property damage
- History of police and court involvement
- Multiple treatment failures
Our Specialized Treatment Group Homes is a medically-directed program is licensed by the Nebraska Departments of Health and Human Services and Education. It is a Certified Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility and accredited by The Joint Commission.
