Boys Town Schools

At Boys Town, children attend year-round academic classes at two state-accredited schools. Younger kids (grades 4 through 8) go to Wegner Middle School, while older students attend classes at Boys Town High School. Children who leave Boys Town before high school graduation can transfer their academic credits earned to their community high school.

All children receive an academic evaluation when they come to Boys Town to help assess their current educational level and learning needs.

Academic testing includes:

  • Math
  • Reading
  • Spelling
  • Language
  • Writing

In addition to regular classroom instruction, Boys Town students also can receive personal mentoring from more than 100 volunteers, which include Boys Town staff members and members of the Omaha community.

All of our teachers are certified by the State of Nebraska. The Boys Town’s year-round school program offers traditional academic curriculum that focuses on helping students – especially those who are behind in their schoolwork – find success in the classroom and get back on track so they can graduate.

Troubled youth at Boys Town attend a year-round school program.
